Everybody Online Portsoken teams up with the Museum of London

Liam Barnes, Project coordinator, has been working with the Museum of London to devise an IT media entitled 'London Lens'.

The project combines photographing and filming some of the City of London’s most iconic landmarks (St Paul’s, the Gherkin, etc) and some of the City’s most secret locations (original Roman London wall, Victorian streets – both located in City office underground car parks). The course titled ‘London Lens’ will be a video and photographic project aimed to City residents piloted in April. The end product will be a short media piece.

Four places on the course have been allocated to a mental health service provider for the City. This not only addresses their remit to get service users to engage in IT, it also helps with their clients other needs, simple things like planning their journey to the museum, travelling by bus, being on a course with non-service users, etc. It also addresses the Museums targets to engage City residents and clients with special educational needs.

The Museum of London have helped to make the course as attractive as possible by providing opportunities for the participants to handle exhibits, have exclusive gallery tours and visit some of the City’s hidden treasures.
