Cyber-Bullying - Beat Bullying Crime Initiative

EverybodyOnline Liverpool are currently delivering Cyber-bullying awareness in Runcorn and Liverpool to coincide with anti-bullying week from November 16th.

The sessions will focus the pupil's attention to the riskier side of internet surfing, and encourage them to act in a responsible and respectful manner when using the internet for homework or recreation, with particular refrence to the misuse of networking sites and the dangers of chain and hate mail, as well as a sensitively handled session by an experienced A & E nurse on suicide sites.

EOL is running this event as part of their Beat Bullying Beat Crime initiative, funded by their successful bid to the Community Fund. To date 400+ children have participated.

Last month saw the launch of the event with 5 primary schools taking part over 3 days. They experienced an assembly to remember hosted by former World Strongman “Big Dave” Gauder, based on the theme of bullying and peer pressure into gang crime. Dave then pulled a stretch limo in the playground, packed with children! Merseyside Policeman Robby “the bobby” Pritchard then discussed the implication of knife crime with the year 6 pupils.
